  1. Hi guys,

I felt that time pass the way so fast. I have been in Calgary almost 1 year. And I learn in ESL program also almost 1 year. I think I get many happy memories, although sometimes I felt really upset ^^. Since I started the EAP class I had thought about my post-secondary programs. I already applied for business admission diploma in BVC. But I talked to many friends, and most of them think it is not a good choice. They considered about the job market and my personality, and also I am an international student.business requires good communication skill and that is one of my weakness. However, I plan to take this program and after it I will go to UofC to study a business degree. There are two reasons, one is before I worded in china I was a assistant of engineer. I want to learn more about this field class. Another reason is I like work in the office. I hope I will finish I plan and get a suitable job as soon as possible.

  2. I have mixed feelings while I am posting the last blog. Indeed, our EAP class likes a big family where we help each other and grow up together. After EAP class, I will have a short break before attending accounting course or other programs I like later. In recent days, I have heard that two Chinese people, who majored in Certified General Accountant at BVC, told me this career future is relatively vague which is totally deferent from the expectation coming from my occupational research. Therefore, during the break, I am going to do more further research about accounting field and think about what I really want to do without regretting in the rest of my life. Of course, our life is an endless process for pursuing. Also, I think that the unforgettable EAP learning journey will encourage me to get through any difficulties on my way pursuing my career.

I hope everyone will live happily with a bright future!

  3. I do have some good memories of my ESL studying in BVC. I had good time and I made many friends too. I know that learning English is not a one day thing and I still get long way to run. Talking about my plan, I’m going to CRTP after EAP. Hopefully, I will get a professional job in my field after I finish CRTP. If not, I think I will take things as they are. Maybe I will go to SAIT to take a course I like or I will run a small business by myself. As a new immigrant in Canada, life is not easy. All of our classmates are giving their effort. I hope we all full fill our Canadian dream in one day.

  4. I have learned english in BVC for one year. There are lots of good memories at the time. Before entering in BVC, I thought it is not very hard to learn english. Now, I know I am wrong. I wish I would have time to learn English. after EAP, I will apply a electrical engineer program in Sait. However, my first choice is to look for a jop. It is sad to finish the English program, but I think the endind is the beginning of the other thing. I hope everyong in our class can find a ideal jop and enjop their lives in Canada.

  5. Hello my friends! It is really hard to write on this blog this time because we can not appreciate the real gain we got through the ESL program. Beside improving English, the most important fact is that we all got many good friends that helped and continue to help us in this difficult task of learning English. I hope many of you think the same way and will remember this time as a very good one. After the ENP course I will try to find a job. To get there I'm going to attend workshops that might help me with the resume editing and hopefully job finding. However, I think that ESL, ENP and EAP especially gave me the confidence that I can compete for a position in my professional field. I wish the best to you my friends, have a good and happy life. I hope, we hear from each other again. All my regards to our teachers that invest their hearts in us and helped to reach this step.
    Thank you everyone!
P.S. I think is my first blog that I wrote ahead of the deadline. It is a real progress :))

  6. EAP is like a lenient boat, it uses its body to load us; the teacher is like a straight sail, it guides the boat to the broad world. The boat never feels that its passengers exceed the limited load, the sail is never tired of directing the boat in the bright direction, no matter how many obstacles there are, no matter how difficulty it is, it always gives us courage, sense of safety as well as the passion to pursue our great future. EAP is also like a sweet song, the teacher is like a singer, the singer demonstrates the greatness of the song to bring the audiences endless recollections. Needless to say, we are the passengers of the EAP, we are the audiences of the EAP, the EAP gives us a great opportunity to pursue brighter future and gives us a good chance to enhance our English skills, how can we forget such a previous interval., how can we just leave without saying thanks to the teacher. " Thank you very much, Patti".
I have a plan, it is to study the Mechanic Engineering which lasts two years in SAIT, and then work for several years to earn enough money to afford me to enter Mechanic Engineering program in UBC to realize my university dream. After that, I hope to get MBA degree if possible. This is my education plan. In the career, I dream of having my business. I don't dream of being a rich man like Bill Gates, also I don't dream about being a extremely innovative and intelligent person like Steve Jobs, as well, I don't dream of being a famous star like Michael Jackson, I just wanna own my own business and make some contribution to the world, and don't let my family worry too much about financial issue.

  7. For almost one and a half year, I have been studying English at BVC and most of these memories are good. I made new friends, and I learned how important soft skills are and a little bit of Canadian culture. In addition, after EAP, I am planning to have a short break before taking financial accounting course. I know that learning English is beneficial for my future life. That's why I will continue studying English to fill the break time. I will try to find a job or volunteer or take free course while looking for some activities. Finding a new activity after finish studying English is my goal. I hope we all still keep in contact and will cherish the memories that we have made together. And to Patti, thank you for teaching us and am sorry if I have made any mistakes during my time as your student.

  8. Hi everyone. I’ve read all the posted comments and I realised that we almost finished EAP. I think I’ve done a lot of things since last January. First of all, I almost completed my English courses. Second of all, I completed four courses of my legal assistant program at SAIT. I also volunteered in two places regularly. Regarding my future plans. First of all, I will take few months break. Next, I want to finish my legal assistant program and receive a certificate at SAIT. After that, I want to apply for a Law program at UFC next year.
I agree with Oleg and I wanted to add a big thanks to our EAP teacher Patti. As for me, Patti is an ideal teacher. She understands us, and always helps us with difficulties in English.
I wish all my classmates good luck in their future goals.

  9. During one year of studying the English, I felt it's an amazing year, it seems like yesterday that I was study here. There is a lot good memories and I gain many knowledges that what I have studied. I hope I can successes finished my EAP course, if I can pass this course I will go to Nursing program for study Practical Nursing in January at Bow Valley College. This program will takes for 18 months to study, I heard my friends told me that LPN is hot program for people to study in Canada. Meanwhile, also it's so difficult to graduated. Its mean I really need to spend more effort and time to study. Actually, I choose this program it's not what I really want, I need to obey to my parents requires. Therefore, I think if I can propitious graduated then I want to choose to other subject that I was interesting. I hope our plans can realize smoothly to everyone.
